A cuckoo of hope whispered somewhere,
A thousand birds took to flight.
To escape from their droughtful plight,
They reached for the sun shining bright
Nervous they fly wondering what might,
Together determined to find their new haven with might
In the distant light, blue green and grain they sight
With delight they alight, though their hearts take flight
Without realizing it's a bait, they take a sip and a bite
While cannons fire off and the net around them shuts tight
The big cuckoo of deceit is whistling with delight,
Laughing at their flapping wings in petty fight
Surrounded by unpecked fruits and piles full of water,
Through the bars of their cages, they woefully look at the flying kite.
